KalenTurn - Support
Contact
Email support@kalenturn.com - one person reads everything (the developer). You'll get a reply, usually within a couple of days. Bug reports help most when they include your schedule type (e.g., 48/96), what you expected, and what the app showed.
Good to know
- KalenTurn forecasts are estimates. "Estimates only - not your official paycheck." Your employer's payroll system is the source of truth; KalenTurn's job is to get you close enough to catch mistakes - use Check My Check each payday and note any difference.
- Your data stays on your phone. No accounts, no cloud of ours. Use Settings - Your data - Export to keep a backup, especially before changing phones.
- Restore a purchase: open Settings - Subscription - Restore Purchases (or the same button on the subscription sheet). Make sure you're signed in with the Apple ID that bought it.
- Manage or cancel a subscription: iPhone Settings - your name - Subscriptions - KalenTurn. Apple handles all billing.
- Family Sharing: the annual plan can be shared with your Apple Family group. Sharing the plan shares no data - each person's schedules and pay stay on their own phone.
Frequently asked
My forecast is off. What do I check first?
Three usual causes: a write-in your department pays that hasn't been entered (uniform allowance, incentives - see Settings - Your setup - Recurring additions), a deduction list that changed, or your department's holiday handling (banked vs. paid out - Settings - Your setup - Holiday bank). Check My Check's note field is the perfect place to record what caused a difference.
Can my spouse see my schedule?
Yes, two ways: share a month image (Share my month on the calendar), or turn on Settings - Device calendar export and share the exported "KalenTurn" calendar from your Calendar app.
Does it work for non-firefighters?
Yes. Fire service is who we built it for first, but the custom schedule builder handles any pattern - 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts, part-time, rotating, or exact dates - hourly or salaried.
